Why We Built This Site
Colorado gives the public access to many court and government records, but La Plata County records do not all sit in one office. District Court and County Court files are handled through the Clerk of Court at the La Plata County Courthouse in Durango. Recorded documents and marriage or civil-union licenses are handled by the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder. Sheriff reports, jail custody details, District Attorney records, and Durango Municipal Court files follow separate request paths.
The goal is to make those lines clear.
